Worldwide PSN Error Stops On & Offline Playing of Games

Published: Mar 1, 2010 by admin Filed under: Exclusives News
Looks like PS3 owners can finally understand the pain of a system not working correctly.  Yesterday afternoon, primarily fatboy PS3’s would not connect to the PSN network and wouldn’t load games (Heavy Rain being one of them) as well as the system date automatically being changed due to this unknown issue.  Some speculate that it is a firmware issue since it even affects PS3’s that are not connected to the internet.  I have Heavy Rain and the game won’t load due to trophy’s being unable to load.  This is not the same as Xbox 360’s RRoD but this is just as bad to millions of PS3 owners.  It is scary to think that Sony can stop the offline playing of games.  As much as people bash Microsoft, at least they can’t stop offline play, they just ban you from online.   Seems like a good way for Sony to keep a strong control on things.   Sony has acknowledged the problem and continues to work on solving it. Have you received one of the 2 errors below???
An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network. (8001050F)
Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will quit. (8001050F)
